N149155 · 2011-03-14 — The tariff classification and status under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) of bridge rectifier diodes from Ireland
The merchandise at issue is bridge rectifier diodes. The bridge rectifier diodes are produced from diodes manufactured by MicroSemi in the United States. After being produced in the United States, the diodes are exported to Ireland where, at MicroSemi’s facility in County Claire, they will be inspected and subjected to processes such as electroplating and solder-dipping. Four of the individual diodes will be assembled, connected, and wired together into a bridge configuration so that electricity can flow through the diodes in a certain way as the current alternates and returned to the United…

884779 · 1993-05-06 — The tariff classification of Schottky rectifier diodes from Taiwan
The merchandise is described in the submitted literature as Schottky rectifier diodes. They contain two diodes which are not directly connected to each other with no other electronic element contained in the device. Each diode contained in the package is a two terminal device with a single P N junction. They allow current to pass in one direction while offering a very high resistance in the other. The diodes have many applications particularly in the fields of detection and switching. The applicable subheading for the Schottky rectifier diodes will be 8541.10.00, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of…
085540 · 1989-12-18 — Bridge Rectifier Diodes
Your letter of July 28, 1989, requesting a tariff classification under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States Annotated (HTSUSA), has been referred to this office for reply. FACTS: The article in question is the series KBPC6 Bridge Rectifier Diode (BRD). The BRD consists of four discrete rectifier diodes or cells connected together and mounted in a housing to form a full wave rectifier. Each of the four diodes is a two terminal device with a single p-n junction which allows current to pass in one direction. BRDs are used in a wide variety of consumer and industrial products, such…
